Senior Presented with A.C.E. Award Scholarship


Kaitlyn Roy, a member of the Runnels Class of 2018, was presented with the 2018 A.C.E. Award (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) at the Baton Rouge Exchange Club’s annual banquet held July 25 at La Madeleine in Baton Rouge.

At the event, she was recognized as the A.C.E. winner and presented with a $500 scholarship, which she will use as a freshman at LSU this fall.  A Runnels student since kindergarten, Kaitlyn is an AP Scholar and a 4.0 graduate. Accompanying her to the banquet were her parents Krista Rawlins and Richard Roy.

A.C.E. awards are presented to graduating high school students who have achieved high levels of community involvement, scholastic accomplishments, and leadership while overcoming obstacles.
