Programming in Scratch Summer Camp
Session 1: June 17-21 l 9:00 – 3:00
(Open to Runnels and non-Runnels students grades 5-6)
Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically.
Before care (8:00) and aftercare (until 5:00) available at an additional charge ($25/week for before care, $35/week for aftercare or $50 for both)
Led by: Kathy Judd, computer apps and computer science teacher at Runnels. She has a bachelor's degree in computer science and ten years work experience as a computer programmer.

Runnels "High School Musical" Summer Drama Camp
(Open to Runnels and non-Runnels students entering grades 2-10.)
One session: June 17-28 | 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., aftercare available until 5:00 p.m. (for an additional cost)
Under the direction of teaching and theatre professionals Neena McLain and Cristin and Jorge Ponjuan. Students will stage a performance of Disney’s "High School Musical."

THE HEIST Summer Drama Camp with Mrs. Julie
(Open to Runnels and Non-Runnels students grades K-6)
June 3-7 l 9:00 – 3:00
Single Child: $175 / Multiple children: $150 each for two; $130 each for three or more
Before care (8:00) and aftercare (until 5:00) available at an additional charge ($25 each for the week or both before and after care: $40 for the week).
Students will perform for an audience on the last day in the Drama Room at 2:00 p.m.

Think Sm"ART" at Runnels
(Open to Runnels and Non-Runnels students grades 2-7.)
Session 1 - June 10-14 I 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, aftercare available until 5:30 pm (for an additional cost)
Session 2 - June 17 - 21 I 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, aftercare available until 5:30 pm (for an additional cost)
Led by professional art teachers, including Sydney McGraw, a 2010 Runnels alumna. Students will explore different forms of art and will be challenged to try new techniques during the week-long sessions.
Cost: $180 per week / apron included l Aftercare to 5:30 (for an additional cost)
BUDDING ARTIST CAMP
(Open to Runnels and non-Runnels students in Pre-K through 2nd grade)
Session 1: June 17-21 l 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Session 2: July 15-19 l 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $125/week per child
Each day will feature different famous artists as inspiration for their class work and include multiple forms of art media including painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture. The class will include an art apron, a piece of work on canvas, and a portfolio folder to bring their collection of work home on Friday.

JR/SR HIGH SUMMER ATHLETIC CONDITIONING AVAILABLE FOR RUNNELS ATHLETES
Cross Country (XC) Summer Training and Conditioning
(Open to Runnels students entering grades 5-12.)
XC Highland Road Park Group Runs
(Open to Runnels students entering grades 7-12.)
Super 7 program open for high school students and incoming 7th and 8th graders. This is run by Baton Rouge Soccer Club but Coach Silva will be coaching and will be in charge of registration, practices, etc., for the Runnels team(s). The program lasts 6-7 weeks. More information will be available soon.

Open to Runnels students entering grades 7th - 12th)
Strength camp for beginners, veterans, boys and girls. Purpose of the camp is to increase core strength, balance, agility, and overall strength. Athletes will engage in a variety of resistance style exercises as well as learning the techniques of the sport of Powerlifting.
Mondays and Thursdays l June 3 - August 8 l 6 pm - 7:30 pm
Cost: $165 - Make checks payable to Runnels and note powerlifting camp. Drop off checks to Pamela Babcock in the High School Office.
Led by varsity powerlifting coach Mitch Reeves.
