Prospective Parents

Choosing a Runnels education for your child is a strategic investment in their future. Our individualized approach to learning and teaching in a family-like environment benefits students at every level and in every area of school life. The advantages of a long-term Runnels education are particularly evident in the accomplishments of the 44 members of the Class of 2018. Nearly half (45%) of them have been students at Runnels since elementary school or before.

ACT Scores:
The 44 seniors in the Runnels Class of 2018 earned an average composite ACT score of 28.23, significantly above state (19.4) and national averages (21.0). The students who have been at Runnels the longest, since kindergarten or preschool (“lifers”), earned an even higher score. Runnels “lifers” earned an average composite ACT score of 29.61! 
16 AP Scholars:
The Runnels Class of 2018 has a large number of nationally recognized scholars. Sixteen students (36 percent) were named AP Scholars, with 10 earning the title of Distinguished AP Scholar and one honored as a National AP Scholar. Fourteen of our AP Scholars (87%) have been Runnels students since elementary school days or before.
7 National Merit Students:
Seven students in this graduating class (16%) were recognized as National Merit Students. Four were named National Merit Finalists and three were honored as Commended Students. The Finalists are eligible for prestigious scholarships in this nationally respected program. Of these seven top performers,100 percent have been at Runnels since elementary school or before.
